POISONED DOG
If you think a dog may have been poisoned, and where possible:
• Record the name of the poison
• What the poison is/does and any other info about the poison
• How much was taken
• The time it was ingested
• Pre call the vet and follow their advice
• Some poisons can affect the dog immediately and others can take weeks to show symptoms but both can be emergencies
Never take a ‘wait-and-see’ approach – ALWAYS contact the vet!
